The College of Teachers

The College of TeachersThe INTESOL online TEFL course is externally validated by The College of Teachers, a professional body onsite at the University of London. The College of Teachers is a registered charity in the UK. The College received its Royal Charter for excellence in the field of education in 1849. This Royal Charter grants the College the right to award official UK qualifications that are recognized worldwide. Only professional, independent organisations acting in the interest of the public may receive this honour.

As an accredited member of the College of Teachers we must adhere to a strict code of practice and maintain the highest professional standards.

In a recent statement regarding recognition the British Council in London wrote:

"Currently we consider reputable ELT validating bodies to include UCLES, Trinity College, any UK University and the College of Teachers."

Please check our validity by visiting the College of Teachers website. We are listed in the UK section under 'INTESOL International TESOL Training'.

ODLQC

INTESOL is an ODLQC (Open and Distance Learning Quality Council) accredited TESOL/TEFL training provider.

This means that INTESOL has achieved the standards set by the Council, who are satisfied that the service you, the learner, receive from INTESOL will be of good quality.

Accreditation is awarded only after a rigorous assessment, by independent experts, of the educational service offered by a provider, to ensure that it meets the Standards set by the Council. Accredited colleges are re-assessed annually.

Established in 1969 by a joint government/private sector initiative, ODLQC is the national body, which assesses quality in open and distance learning in the UK. Its role is to recognise quality of service through its accreditation scheme, and to protect the interests of the learner.

Find us listed on the ODLQC website here under accredited learning providers.
